Harold S. Peckron, JD, LLM, MBA, PhD
Harold Peckron has practiced for more than 30 years in the areas of accounting and taxation, and has held university teaching posts for much of that time.
His career began with positions at the U.S. Treasury Department, the U.S. Tax Court, and the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP. Through his own consulting firm, he now advises both publicly traded and privately held enterprises on sophisticated tax strategies.
Dr. Peckron has been a tenured law professor at the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, Barry University and has held appointments as Professor and Dean in graduate business programs since 1976. Now retired as a full professor from the State University of Pennsylvania System, he continues to teach and conduct professional seminars.
He has been writing throughout his career, producing several books and treatises and regularly contributing articles to professional journals and peer-reviewed national law reviews.
He earned his MBA in Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago, his JD from Drake University School of Law, his LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University National Law Center, and his PhD in Accounting from Southwest University.
Dr. Peckron maintains membership in several organizations, including the American Accounting Association, the American Bar Association, and the Academy of Legal Studies in Business.
An intrepid marathon runner and tennis player, he resides in Florida where he frequently volunteers his time to community groups.
